Program Overview
The staff and administration at City View ISD strives to create an environment that will push our students to become more productive digital citizens, and give them the tools to succeed in the connected world that we live in today. In the past, we have focused on rolling out educational technologies that allow students and faculty to connect, collaborate and communicate. We believe that now is the time to ensure our students have the tools necessary to work collaboratively in a digital environment.
As City View ISD works towards meeting district goals, we are proud to announce a One-to-One Student Technology District Program that will place a Chromebook in the hands of every student in 5th-12th grade.
As we identified the advantages of this program, our faculty has remained committed to ensuring students are prepared for success and leadership in both their careers and communities. Access to technology provides students the ability to reach out beyond the classroom and inspires them to extend their learning. It encourages students to be curious and active seekers of knowledge, transforming them from consumers of information to producers of new ideas. The One-to-One program will enable students to do real-time research, project-based learning, and provide increased opportunities for independent study. It will promote and facilitate critical thinking, responsibility, creativity and innovation for lifelong learning. Additionally, it will cultivate leadership, collaboration, and teamwork through digital communication and productivity tools.
**Update- Starting with the 2016-17 school year, the $20 management fee will be waived for all students. Students will only be responsible for paying fees for lost or damaged devices.
