The Jazz Band is an elective group that rehearses solely outside of the school day. This group will meet from roughly the end of football season until the beginning of May. Performances may include the Christmas Concert, UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest, Public Performances, the Percussion Ensemble Concert and/or a standalone Jazz Band Concert. This group gives students a chance to branch out to new instruments, and push themselves stylistically.

Our policy on membership in ‘The Herd’ is mandatory attendance. 2 or more missed rehearsals can and will result in removal from the ensemble if the directors deem it necessary.
